Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:
This position is responsible for managing the activities of Business Technical Services functions (General Services help-desk services, office support, mobile and fixed telephony, meeting room and audiovisual equipment management, and multifunctional devices) across AVANGRID which encompasses 25 US states and multiple independent operating companies (Central Maine Power, Maine Natural Gas, New York State Electric & Gas, Rochester Gas & Electric, AVANGRID Renewables, United Illuminating, Connecticut Natural Gas, Berkshire Gas, Southern Connecticut Gas, and ENSTOR Canada) to ensure the ability of General Services to service the operating companies effectively. Oversee and provide guidance in the coordination of centralizing Global initiatives, identify and lead process efficiencies, contract management and cost control. Provide leadership, motivate and mentor employees. Reports to the Director – Office and Business Services.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
Manages a team to provide the following services to all IUSA business partners:
General Service Help-Desk
Mobile & fixed telephony
Meeting room and audiovisual equipment management
Multifunctional deviceso Office support
Interfaces regularly with local and global business partners and internal Customers
Develops processes in the above categories to implement consistent and efficient utilization of the services
Manages continuous improvement within the above categories to ensure lowest cost/highest quality service
Integrates with other General Services areas for overall departmental effectiveness
Develops and manages contracts with service providers
Oversee and coordinate Global initiatives within Business Services areas
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or demonstrated equivalent experience through a combination of work experience, training, and certifications.
Minimum of seven years of related work experience.
Proficiency with SAP software (or similar), fundamentals and processes.
Prior change management experience.
Prior supervisory experience.
Experience in large scale project management and program management
Project management skills.
Excellent team leader.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to convey complex issues and/or solutions to staff and business unit management and employees
Knowledge of business issues and challenges
