Job Summary

This entry level position is responsible for all functions relating to the operation of plant equipment, including regularly monitoring, maintaining, and checking plant equipment, isolating and tagging equipment for maintenance, and preparing equipment for operation.

REQUIRED TO WORK ROTATING SHIFTS AND SOME HOLIDAYS

  • This position is trained to respond to, and required to support the Plant's Emergency Response Team.

  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.

  • Must have a working knowledge of pumps, valves, compressors and other related equipment.

  • Must be in good physical condition with ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs or more on a frequent basis.

  • Must be able to safely climb tall structures at extreme heights (fixed ladders and/or stairs up to 100 feet).

  • Must be able to work during inclement weather, work overtime, call-outs, outages, and rotating shifts.

  • Must be able to work independently and as a team player.

  • Must have good communication/human relations skills.

Education Requirements

Completion of High School or equivalent

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving history.

Test Description

All candidates must successfully complete, or have already passed, the EEI POSS test
