Pike Corporation Project Coordinator - Gas in Concord, North Carolina

Position Summary: *The Project Coordinator - Gas is responsible for providing assistance to the Superintendent/General Foreman in setting up projects, tracking multiple projects, and will work to facilitate next steps in a given project implementation. Strong project related skills are necessary to be successful in this role. Organization and continual follow-up are vital to this role. This position assists the Superintendent/General Foreman in the successful planning, execution and closeout of projects and informs Project Management of project status and issues. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently. *Essential Functions: Under minimal supervision, the Project Coordinator will: * Manage project status reports from design to implementation; * Document and track all development requests; * Monitor and maintain project schedules and implementation, * Establish clear follow up-dates, proactively contacting others to review progress and confirm action taken * Assist in the coordination of meetings in order to assure timely and accurate completion * Ensure that technical documentation is complete through the project lifecycle * Participate in meetings and makes recommendations for process development or changes in service * Participate in customer calls and reviews Minimum Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Valid driver’s license * Ability to work with minimal supervision * Able to read and communicate effectively in English * Willing to work over-time when requested. * Strong interpersonal skills to work and communicate with a team of peers * Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point; * Working knowledge in MS Project and/or Primavera scheduling software * Demonstrated skills in written and oral communications; * High energy level with the ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous environment with a bias for action; * High commitment to achieving goals and plans; * Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills; * Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
