About Transmission and Distribution
Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts.
The Senior Scheduling Analyst in the Resource Planning and Performance Management (RPPM) group will be directly responsible for the processing of new work assignments, scheduling of work with internal (SCE) and external (contractor) construction resources, tracking performance, and performing ad-hoc analysis in support of regional goals.
Review and preparation of work order packages for internal SCE and external contractor construction crews
Directly manage and maintain project status reports to ensure that timely and accurate updates are made. This includes monitoring scheduled start dates, completion dates, major milestones, and other pertinent project information
Provide process improvement recommendations to the Regional Scheduling Manager (RSM) to ensure adherence to established timelines, compliance, and overall data accuracy
Monitor annual purchase order values and submit requests to replenish funds as necessary.
Extract, compare, and analyze data from various internal source systems to identify reporting inconsistencies and address data gaps
Act as a key resource to the Regional Planning and Performance Manager (RPPM) to assist in the development of high-level presentations that are presented to executive management.
Conduct ad-hoc analyses within area of responsibility in support of on-going company operations or in response to changing business strategies.
Two or more years of experience working in an Analyst position.
Three or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel performing advanced functions such as VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, charts and graphing.
Three or more years of experience gathering, documenting, analyzing and drawing conclusions on complex data/information and making recommendations.
Knowledge of SCE specific programs, such as Design Manager (DM), Click Schedule, and SAP.
Customer focused with ability to understand and appropriately respond to project managers and clients’ business needs.
Three or more years of experience creating presentations using spreadsheet and presentation software tools to communicate data and analysis.
Experience planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and meeting assigned deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
Two or more years of experience working across disciplines and effectively engaging various levels of internal and external suppliers and stakeholders.
Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills.
Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
