NiSource Capital Planning Analyst - Job Family in Columbus, Ohio

INTRODUCTION:Capital Planning is charged with managing the capital program ($1.7 Billion) by providing gas electric systems investment planning, budgeting forecasting, infrastructure asset analysis, and capital allocation. The capital planning role is responsible for the optimization of capital spending and infrastructure investment by driving planning, providing program insight, and continuous improvement. This position ensures collaboration between engineering, gas electric operations planning, finance, regulated revenue organizations, and local operations

PURPOSE: Provides value-added capital program analytics and support to executive management and internal stakeholders. The incumbent may assume responsibility for capital program analytics, including but not limited to reviewing and interpreting the impact of portfolio schedule and cost impacts on the capital program and our commitments; preparing analytical studies on historical, forecasted, and pro-forma capital program financial data; developing comprehensive capital program insight and business drivers for executive management and internal stakeholders; and providing other needed expertise and reporting to accurately reflect and manage program efficiency matters. Qualifications KEY WORK EXPERIENCE / EDUCATIONAll analyst levels

Requires 4 year degree in business discipline or equivalent work experience

Requires proficiency in Microsoft office applications; particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Prefer MBA

Prefer Utility Industry experience

Analyst

0-3 years of experience (or equivalent education) in finance, accounting, regulatory, engineering, or construction related field

Senior Analyst

3-6 years of experience in finance, accounting, regulatory, engineering, or construction related field
