    What you’ll do:

Lead the team, including the Supervisors reporting to you, ensuring successful production results, and creating and a positive team environment.

  • Work Oversight & Safety

  • Schedule weekly crew visits with General Foremen, giving guidance, assistance, and support.

  • Oversee the implementation of the Corporate Safety Program; training sessions, tailgate meetings. and award pro grams.

  • Work with General Foremen, Supervisors and Corporate Safety investigating and settling accident claims quickly, efficiently, and sensitively.

  • Ensures that high-quality arboricultural work is being performed at all times.

  • Maintains open communication with Division Manager on all area operational activities.

  • Customer Interaction and Work Planning

  • Continuous contact with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Ensures compliance of all customers' contract specifications and requirements.

  • Contacts potential customers as assigned by Regional Vice President or Division Manager.

  • Ability to review and/or estimate fixed price lump sum bid work.

  • Personnel Management

  • Ensures that employees receive training to prepare for job assignments

  • Appraises performance of employees to communicate expectations and provide constructive feedback as a means for improvement

  • Identify and develop high potential employees for leadership succession

  • Ensures that equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and purchasing policies and procedures are completed properly.

  • Attends internal and external training courses, which pertain to improving and developing job related business management and operational skills.

    What you’ll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Bilingual with professional level fluency in both Spanish and English

  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a Supervisor in the Utility Line Clearance field or related experience.

  • Demonstrated history of disciplined leadership

  • Effective mentor/teacher with applicable managerial and motivational skills

  • Strong oral and written communications skills, including computer and technology skills.

  • Able to analyze business operations reports and determine actions to apply for improvements

  • Strong experience in developing and maturing a safety-first culture

  • Understands and can apply root cause review of incidents

  • Able and willing to travel via ground and/or air transportation. Storm emergencies may require extended out of town stay.

  • Must secure ISA Certified Arborist and/or ISA Utility Specialist Certification and/or ISA Certified Tree Worker Certification after one year.
