How you’ll make the difference in the lives of our citizen owners each day:

  • Installing, repairing, calibrating and maintaining all electrical equipment associated with a Power Plant including:

  • 480 volt MCCs

  • 2400/4160 switchgear

  • Protective relays

  • Electric motors

  • Circuit breakers

  • Control circuits

  • Installing and programming Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs), Variable frequency drives and Operator interface

  • Using test equipment such as volt ohm meter, amp meter, relay test equipment, oscilloscopes and breaker test equipment

  • Providing technical guidance, training, assistance and work review of apprentices

  • Having knowledge and use of Work Management processes including planning, scheduling, processing of work orders, and supply chain management.

  • Complying with the safety and health program in support of an incident and injury free workplace

Ideally, you will bring demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position acquired through a completed an Electrical Generation Apprentice program. An associate degree in electronics or Colorado State JW license is preferred. Requires journey level electrical experience. Electrical experience in an electric generating power plant is preferred.
