Prepares, conducts and evaluates assessments for Engineering, Construction & Operations in accordance with work procedures, policies and design standards. May be involved in functions related to supporting and communicating assessment findings. Conducts QC assessments both independently and as a team member. Compiles and reports out QC assessment results to other interested parties and verifies Operator Qualifications of assessed employees and instrument calibration records.
Acts as a subject matter expert in area of field and applies extensive knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices.
Identifies the developmental needs of others, and coaches and mentors others to improve their knowledge or skills.
Collaborates with leaders, other LOBs, and business partners to work on issues, projects or activities.
Presents findings and makes recommendations to high level leaders.
Assists with the implementation of process improvements and efficiencies.
Validates quality of inspections and patrols for assets completed by inspectors.
Leads complex or major projects with high corporate or functional priority.
Develops or modifies quality assurance audit procedures and methodology.
Conducts highly complex root cause analysis and develops corrective actions to resolve deficiencies.
Manage audit and inspection of design work to ensure safety and regulatory requirements.
High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
Experience as Gas Quality Control Specialist, 1 year
Experience in quality assurance, or related, 7 years
CA Class C License, or equivalent
Willingness to work in remote locations
Willingness to work in an office environment
Ability to travel up to 20 percent of working time
Bachelors Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience at PG&E, job-related
Experience in field work, gas
ASQ-American Society for Quality CQA-Certified Quality Auditor certification
ASQ-American Society for Quality Quality Improvement Specialist certification
