Position Summary:

In the Marketing Specialist/Manager position you will lead marketing efforts across our Horticulture, Medical/Life Science and Industrial segments. In this position you will get to:

  • Campaign Development and Management

  • Define and drive marketing campaigns to drive demand/leads for sales

  • Coordinate with sales managers on specific targets to help achieve strategic growth goals

  • Champion the usage and work flows of our customer relationship manager (CRM)

  • Create and manage the campaign plan

  • Digital Marketing

  • Update and manage website content and campaigns

  • Research SEO improvements for content and/or paid search

  • Update and manage interactions on Social Media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram)

  • Analyze analytics to improve digital engagements and strategies

  • Content Marketing

  • Write blog and email content that focus on industry thought leadership and product positioning

  • Marketing Communications

  • Develop marketing collateral that positions product and clearly articulates our value proposition

  • Determine and execute Public Relations and Advertisement strategy

  • Aid in the market launch of new products to the market

  • Manage assets and brands

  • Event Marketing

  • Create and manage the event schedule

  • Define strategies at events for effective execution which includes booth design, experience and campaigns to support the event

  • Creative & Design

  • Assist in designing marketing communications assets

  • Coordinate production internally or externally for any creative and design needs

  • Strategic Marketing

  • Collect and analyze prospect and customer data, suggesting areas to optimize for improved engagement and retention

  • Work with sales and market management to conduct market research, segmentation studies and VOC activities to understand key markets and how the customers perceive our messaging and communication strategies

  • Marketing Excellence

  • Create and manage marketing budget

  • Establish clear, measurable marketing goals, metrics and analytics that support region’s sales & profitability goals (KPI’s, ROI)

Education, Experience, Skills and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Business Administration

  • 5+ years of successful marketing experience

  • Travel up to 5-10%

  • Managing campaigns and tracking metrics across digital channels: web, blog, email, video, social, search

  • Customer acquisition with both demand generation and segmentation & targeting

  • Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to present at multiple levels in the organization.

  • Knowledge in social media and digital technologies / platforms

  • Experience using CRM

  • Experience with Lucidpress, Adobe Suite for graphic design (not required)

  • Highly motivated and self-directed

  • Disciplined time management - get things done.
