Essential Functions:

This position is responsible for the following tasks, duties, and responsibilities:

  • Model and promote a Culture of Safety throughout the company.

  • Provide accurate, timely, relevant data, which enables informed decisions related to improving performance in manufacturing, inventory management, operations and finance.

  • Analyze data and make recommendations to reduce costs, improve efficiencies and processes, enhance revenue, and improve internal controls.

  • Assist in developing and improving the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) systems and processes.

  • Create reports and synthesize to concise usable formats for final users.

  • Collaborate with management to design key reports, analytical tools and develop and track KPI’s.

  • Analyze business problems and identify solutions that meet business goals.

  • Work with operations to identify manufacturing variances and provide recommendations.

  • Conduct time studies, BOM variance analysis and other operational functions to reduce cost and improve operational efficiency.

  • Assist with the financial planning and budgeting process.

  • Utilize and leverage LEAN concepts and tools to improve processes and systems.

  • Works with business users to refine and improve current reporting and analysis, often performing ad hoc reporting to satisfy end-users.

  • Assists the Finance department and Supply Chain with projects as needed.

  • Document processes and procedures for end users.

  • Assist in any area of the business to find opportunities to reduce cost, improve margins, and increase efficiencies and effectiveness.

  • Assist in the Month End Accounting as needed.

  • Assist with special projects.

  • Identify and report any unsafe work conditions, behaviors, or incidents.

  • Follow and adhere to all safety procedures.

  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance or similar field with 3- 5 years of related experience preferred.

  • Exceptionally strong Excel computer skills, and good working knowledge of Word, Visio, PowerPoint

  • Strong ability to use data bases and manipulate data to create meaningful data and reports.

  • Strong analytical thinking - Approach a problem by using a logical, systematic and sequential approach.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the SIOP process.

  • Knowledge of accounting and finance principles and the ability to apply them.

  • Working knowledge of ERP and other business reporting systems and the ability to efficiently extract data.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

  • Detail oriented and creative thinking to resolve complex items.

  • Strong business acumen including decision making and problem-solving skills.

  • The Business Analyst position requires work to be performed in both office and the manufacturing environments with a balance between hands-on work and office work.

  • Work performed in the well-lit manufacturing environment may include regular exposure to flying dust and debris; the smell of burnt plastic; high decibel equipment and loud noises; and extreme temperatures ranging from subzero up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • The manufacturing environment is fast-moving and may require the mobility to bend, stoop, lift, carry, lift above shoulders, push, pull, walk, and stand throughout the duration of the shift.

  • Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment consistently and correctly. This may include wearing safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, other safety equipment as designated, and adhering to the safety dress code.

  • Work performed in the controlled and well-lit office work environment has few physical hazards.

  • May be required to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

  • Visual acuity, manual dexterity, and hand function may be required to complete data entry, use technology, and complete other tasks as assigned.

  • Light travel between company facilities and some travel to customers, trade shows, suppliers, and external meetings, etc. is required.
