Job Summary

The Customer Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive engagement strategies and activities to support the company’s natural gas energy efficiency goals. This role will support the residential and business programs and will involve close collaboration with internal and external teams to ensure program success including goals, budget and customer satisfaction. The Customer Program Manager will bring a high level of professionalism and excellent communication skills and will be highly organized and talented in managing details. Job Responsibilities

  • Works closely with internal/external teams and subcontractors to develop and manage customer energy efficiency program offerings, coordinating the work of others in the department or external vendors to ensure timely, cost-effective results.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement and evaluate program effectiveness.

  • Builds and maintains key relationships with vendors, suppliers, internal/external teams and delivery channels.

  • Manages more than one program or other assigned initiatives.

  • Drafts program goals and budgets, including working with internal and external stakeholders, updating budget forecasts and accruals, and completing budget reports.

  • Develops documents for filing with utility regulators and other program stakeholders.

  • Support customers, energy efficiency initiatives and offerings.

  • Identify and implement program improvements.

  • Set metrics and ensure accurate tracking of participation metrics.

  • Maintain and improve relationships with program vendors, contractors, and implementers to ensure program success.

  • Lead or coordinate responses to program data requests from internal and external stakeholders, as well as third parties, including working across departments to gather necessary information.

  • Leads daily support of the customer experience for assigned programs and initiatives, including all relevant customer inquiries.

  • Plan and implement program customer satisfaction surveys and reports.

  • Develops new programs and customer initiatives and offerings.

  • Assists with departmental ad hoc projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required. Preferred majors: Business, Marketing, Engineering, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or related discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in energy efficiency, energy industry or in a program/project management role.

  • Strong project management, analysis, decision making and problem solving skills.

  • Knowledge of the utility industry (gas and electric a plus); energy efficiency program planning, design, implementation and evaluation.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Proven relationship-building skills at all levels of internal organizations and with external vendors and stakeholders.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, pay attention to detail and manage multiple tasks.

  • Proficient in standard office software (MS PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).

  • Experience in utility program/project support and/or management including working with program budgets.
