3957BRJob Title:Corporate Security ConsultantRequisition Number:3957BREducation/Experience Requirements:This is a job family posting where experience will be the determining factor for level selected.A Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Police Science, Security Management or Business Administration is preferred however significant, successful and relevant work experience may be substituted.Consultant Level requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of significant, successful and relevant work experience.Senior Security Consultant: A minimum 5 years of significant, successful and relevant work experience.Principal level requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.External Location:IL-ChicagoEmployment Type:RegularExternal Job Responsibilities:WEC Business Services, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group is seeking a Security Consultant (Sr, Principal) for our Chicago Utilities.This position has general responsibility for the oversight of procedure execution, management of contracts, management of projects, and providing investigation and consultant services at all levels of the organization for People’s Gas & Light (PGL) and North Shore Gas (NSG).Specific duties include:Coordinate the implementation and on-going administration of physical security programs associated with people, buildings and company assets for PGL and NSG. Such programs include: physical security assessments for PGL and NSG asset categories (e.g. natural gas storage facilities, gate stations, offices, etc.), event security and executive protection, investigations and active shooter/workplace violence.Scope and manage complex physical security capital projects. Gathers requirements, collaborates with business units to determine priorities, identifies appropriate solutions, obtains necessary approvals, ensures funding, manages contractors and stakeholders.Provide security consulting services to establish procedure and install systems that reduce regulatory risk, risk to employees, and the risk of loss or damage to company property.Provide day-to-day guidance/point-of-contact support to contract guard service personnel.Has an in-depth understanding of security technology and works closely with vendors and Information Technology (IT) in the design, development, installation and maintenance of various technologies that support the security program.Conduct investigations, maintains records, writes or reviews security-related documents, such as incident reports involving losses, or violations of regulations, policies and procedures.Development and maintenance of employee awareness of the WEC Energy Group Corporate Security Policies and assure that employees understand their role in providing secure facilities.Advise executive leadership of security risks and helps to shape Corporate Security strategy and practice.Cultivate and maintain internal and external relationships with physical security professionals, including local, regional and national law enforcement, user groups, local/national ASIS, vendors, the IL National Guard, state Emergency Management departments and security colleagues at neighboring utilities.Act on changes in regulatory environment to ensure compliance.Company:WEC Business Services EEO Statement:WEC Energy Group and its subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
