We are looking for candidates with the ability to travel extensively (90-100% of the time) that possess good attention to detail for the position of Pigging Technician. The primary duties of the Pigging Technician include loading, unloading, and tracking of pigs. Successful candidates will also participate in valve maintenance.

JOB TITLE: Pigging Technician

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Based upon level of position, not all functions may apply)

· Loading, unloading, and tracking of pigs.

· Conduct Valve maintenance when not pigging.

· Detail oriented with a dedication to quality

· A commitment to safety, positive attitude, and strong capacity to work enthusiastically with fellow employees

· Must be willing to travel extensively, often on short notice for durations of a few days to several weeks

· Customer focused with excellent attention to detail and a strong ability to work together in a team environment

· Follow directions

· Ability to drive company vehicle

· Valve maintenance

· Courteous and respectful in all communications with team members and clients

· Provide strong support as a team member in maintaining the standards of safety procedures, environmental practices and operating practices.

· Adapt to changes in priority.

· Ensure all compliance aspects of position are known and followed. Understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to the position and Company.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Based upon level of position, not all may apply)

· Minimum 1-year gas line experience

· Must be able to travel extensively throughout NC and TN

· Knowledge or experience with Above Ground marker (AGM) systems

· Should possess or be able to qualify for training of all OQ’s deemed related to the assigned duties.

· High School Diploma or GED

· Valid driver's license

· Able to walk pipeline right-of-ways for distances of several miles, work outdoors, stand for extensive periods, and be capable of lifting equipment into and out of crates or truck beds of 70lbs or more.

· Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse groups of people

· Good organizational skills

· US Dept of Trans. / Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) Operator Qualifications (OQ’s). Should possess as many as practical or be able to qualify after training of all OQ’s deemed related to the assigned duties.
