Job Description

The Lead CSS Business Analyst will be a member of the Customer Connect Analytics & Reporting Team. This role will involve providing leadership, gathering and tracking of functional requirements and collaborating with the program team throughout the lifecycle of the program.

This role will also partner across the broader program team to complete deliverables and advance the program, particularly with the dependency management, integration development, change management, training, technical architecture and other delivery teams. This role presents a great opportunity to be on the forefront of the customer experience transformation at Duke Energy.

Customer Connect will consolidate four legacy billing systems into one customer service platform to deliver the universal experience customers expect. Internally, this multi-year program will positively impact our business by driving efficiencies, consistencies and insights. Externally, the Customer Connect platform will transform how we serve customers, providing them with the easy, personalized experience they expect from service providers. It’s the modernization we need. And the simplification customers deserve.

Customer Connect is a multi-release program that will implement the SAP product suite including: Hybris Cloud for Customer (C4C), Hybris Marketing, Hybris Commerce, Hybris Billing, HANA Analytics and ISU (on S4HANA). The program will be using a hybrid waterfall / agile methodology.

The successful applicant must possess previous experience with functional analysis, functional design and testing of system integrations. Demonstrate good written and verbal communications skills - with peers, customers and management; and exercise good situational judgment as it relates to troubleshooting problems.

Responsibilities:

Business Lead of functional analysis, functional design and testing of interfaces

Maintain traceability of integration requirements and artefacts

Collaborate with IT and business teams and identify interdependencies

Identify and escalate program issues / risks. Lead the resolution of complex issues

Promote documentation, traceability, and best practices for future state system operations

Contribute to a positive work environment where fellow employees work safely and efficiently

Adopt and model the safety guiding principles, maintaining productivity and focus, keeping management well informed of project deliverables and emerging issues/opportunities

Basic/Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree

5 years of related experience in systems support, information technology, project management, or process improvement

Experience with projects or system support teams that have developed or maintained complex integrations between systems

Collaboration skills

Ability to learn/adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment

Proficient in MS Office products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in functional software development and knowledge of related methodologies

Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Experience in data/process analysis and problem solving

Project management, process improvement, and/or lead analyst experience

Familiar with the Customer business functions and related systems

Demonstrated success in leadership roles
