Job Summary/Objective
This position has the primary responsibility of creating long term strategic relationships with an appropriate supply base to support meeting the financial objectives of the overall business. The incumbent is responsible for leading cost control and cost reduction activities associated with the acquisition of finished goods, IT software & equipment, as well as products & services for the R&D department. Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supplier selection, supplier negotiation on price, delivery, payment, product details, quality, and on-time delivery expectations. This position will also maintain a positive working relationship with the supplier network, internal customers, clients, and all levels of co-workers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop & maintain forecasts, support manufacturing capacity plans, schedule deliveries, and assist sales initiatives for finished goods, specifically Category & Coaxial Cables and affiliated products
Provide timely and accurate processing of requisitions. and resolution of invoice discrepancies
Review and negotiate the details associated with master service or product agreements.
Actively participate in and assist with the development and implementation of company-wide sourcing initiatives.
Conduct bid analyses to identify optimal suppliers for a given product or service, and create long term buying agreements which minimizes the total cost.
Work to ensure on-time delivery to avoid service disruption or project delay.
Support our strategic working capital objectives by striving for extended payment terms and reduced order quantities.
Continuously look for savings opportunities to improve return on investment.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Education Level: Associates
Years of Experience: 3+ Field of Expertise: MRO
Other Preferred Skills, Licenses, & Certificates
- Must have knowledge of SAP Strong capability of working with Microsoft Excel
