Equitrans Midstream Environmental Engineer I/II/III in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania
We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Engineer I/II/III in our Canonsburg, PA* location. This role is responsible for researching, investigating, and analyzing moderately complex technical initiatives internally that resolve problems concerning the environment. It will also perform experiments and report findings on environmental consequences of equipment, tools, and procedures. The environmental engineer will work with various internal departments to help develop our methane and climate policies.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:
Apply engineering principles, practices, and procedures to evaluate emissions constituents, develop and audit emissions formulas, analyze results for errors and accuracy, and determine potential engineering and/or administrative controls to improve regulatory compliance and performance.
Utilize technical-based education to manage compliance with state and federal air permits and regulations.
Apply engineering concepts, fundamentals and theory as they relate to performance of assets to ensure air pollutions controls are working effectively and develop concepts for continuous improvement.
Using technical-based experience, may also design, install, operate and maintain measuring apparatus to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land, and water.
Inspect sites for environmental compliance from the construction phase through reclamation.
Prepare air permit applications, modification applications, permit determinations and other applications as required to comply with regulatory requirements.
Establish and maintain documented procedures and best management practices for construction and operation of ETRN facilities.
Prepare regulatory reports and other documentation necessary for compliance with environmental regulation.
Support the implementation of environmental practices and processes associated with the design, construction, operation and reclamation of natural gas pipelines, compressor stations, etc.
Support environmental regulatory compliance with inspection and record review; prepare supporting documentation and manage permit renewal schedule.
Familiarity with emerging environmental, social, and corporate governance issues and reporting requirements.

A bachelor’s degree in related Engineering field. A Chemical Engineering background is preferred.
Up to 2 years of related experience, demonstrating a thorough understanding of issues pertaining to Oil & Gas facilities. 4+ years of experience is preferred.
Competent in applying engineering principles, practices and procedures to perform difficult work assignments.
Knowledge of complex engineering concepts, fundamentals and theory related to oil and gas operations
Intermediate computer skills and effective application of software programs; ability to execute complex engineering calculations.
Ability to prepare reports, exercise discretion when dealing with confidential information, and the ability to keep records, analyze and summarize raw data, to complete and submit summary and regulatory reports
Must be able to successfully present at public speaking engagements/trainings
Ability to think analytically and solve moderately complex problems
Analyzing data where the objective is to identify problems and supply information to others to develop recommendations
Responsible for designing new procedures, products, and/or strategies for the Department
Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations to a positive outcome
Ability to carry out complex environmental projects with minimal coaching
Demonstrated ability to positively influence others in order accomplish organizational goals
Ability to contribute in a team environment and as an individual contributor
Effective communication skills in both oral and written form, including technical writing
Able to manage third party contractors
Ability to travel within WV, PA, OH, NC & VA
Demonstrated knowledge of the construction and/or operation of Midstream projects
Ability to write complete and concise reports and present information internally and/or externally
The anticipated salary range for this position is $84,100 to $134,200 plus a total rewards package that includes:
