Equitrans Midstream Environmental Coordinator/Sr Environmental Coordinator in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania
We have an exciting opportunity for a regionally based (PA, WV, OH) Environmental Coordinator/Senior Environmental Coordinator. This role will be responsible for obtaining relevant environmental permits and clearances for ETRN projects in multiple states (West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio.) Additionally, the position will ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws/regulations and ETRN internal policies and procedures.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
Work directly with construction project managers and contractors to inspect sites for environmental compliance from the construction phase through reclamation
Perform field inspections to record and identify corrective actions for the items identified during inspections.
Meet with agency representatives to complete site inspections, complaint investigations, notice of termination inspections, and other agency requests.
Review erosion and sedimentation control and post construction stormwater management plans, geohazard mitigation plans, design documents, and develop standards for permitting procedures.
Assist with project design to avoid and minimize environmental impacts to the greatest extent possible, evaluate potential projects to determine the scope of environmental permits and approvals necessary for construction, and communicate regulatory requirements to business unit representatives
Obtain environmental permits and approvals, implement compliance with permit conditions, regulations, and company environmental practices and processes associated with the design, construction and reclamation of natural gas pipelines and compressor locations
Lead negotiations and communications with Federal, State and local agencies including FERC, USACE, USEPA, USFWS, state environmental protection and resource agencies, state historic preservation offices, etc.
Train applicable Equitrans Midstream Corporation employees and contractors on requirements and best practices
Promote Equitrans Midstream Corporation's environmental programs within relevant agencies to ensure strong productive relationships
Develop strategies to streamline and expedite environmental permitting and clearance obtainment process
Travel to field locations up to 80% of time.

A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Up to 5 years of experience which demonstrates a thorough understanding of environmental regulations, site inspections, and issues pertaining to construction of Oil & Gas projects. Our Sr Environmental Coordinators have at least 8 years of experience.
Project management skills, excellent written and spoken communication skills, capable of training others
Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to analyze data where the objective is to identify problems and issues
Ability to analyze data where the objective is to supply information to others who will use it to develop recommendations and alternatives
Demonstrated knowledge of the construction and/or operation of Midstream projects
