National Grid Principal Analyst, Strategic Planning in Brooklyn, New York

This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business. ## Job Purpose The Principal Analyst of Strategic Planning willsupport National Grid New York's Strategic Planning Team, working closely with the Senior Leadership across the business to help define and shape National Grid New York's strategic plan. Support development and management of strategic plan, strategic portfolio; help manage change for NY and provide staff support to NY President. ## Key Accountabilities + Lead analysis of strategic topics in New York resulting in recommendations for senior management + Support near-term business strategy for National Grid NY providing strategy support to the President + Help develop strategic objectives, targets and strategic plan for New York + Support governance and management of the strategic initiatives portfolio + Help execute change and engagement plans for National Grid NY employees + Support National Grid NY President on providing updates to National Grid board + Provide internal & external presentation support for National Grid NY President + Conduct strategy signposting for National Grid NY ## Interpersonal- Experience Required + Ability to build strong relationships across all levels within an organization. + Ability to challenge entrenched thinking in a constructive manner; a willingness and openness to receiving similar challenge. + Strong communicator with the ability to convey complex strategic ideas and proposals to a wide range of audiences in both written and verbal mediums. ## Qualifications + Bachelor's degree required + MBA is not required but preferred + Utility industry experience preferred + Experience in strategy/finance/planning roles required ## More Information This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
