NiSource Leader Field Operations (3 positions) in Brockton, Massachusetts

Provide leadership, direction, and performance coaching to the front line workforce. Facilitate effective two-way communication, especially between front-line workers and the rest of the organization.

Actively manage the development, training, and evaluation of front line workers to improve individual and team performance.

Create an environment in which front-line workers are actively involved in the spirit and steps of Continuous Improvement (CI).

Ensure an ongoing relationship with key internal operations partners.

Lead safe, efficient operations, providing direction and support to ensure optimal use of resources and timely, safe, and quality service. Build strong working relationships with internal and external groups to coordinate work efforts and support the community relationships of the Operations Center Management.

Required for Selection:

Five (5) years experience in natural gas distribution operations (or equivalent, i.e. HVAC, plumbing, underground utility construction)

Demonstrated experience with quality improvement principles (e.g., process or productivity improvements, TQM)

Demonstrated knowledge of gas distribution field operations policies and procedures

Knowledge of mainframe operations support systems e.g., WMS, DIS, etc.

Demonstrated knowledge of actions to take when technical, functional and safety problems occur.

Strong knowledge of on-the-job safety and compliance requirements.

Demonstrated knowledge and ability to quickly assess and make sound decisions in emergency situations.

Demonstrated knowledge and ability to grasp technical explanations of plant/service scenarios and draw accurate conclusions.

Demonstrated Leadership experience

Preferred for Selection:

Bachelors or Associates degree from an accredited institution

Working knowledge of PC applications

This position covers the Brockton operations area.Work schedule: Monday through Friday and will also include additional on-call duty.
