Reporting into the Avangrid Renewables Offshore Business Resource Manager, the Offshore Sr. Training & Development Coordinator is the point of contact for the Avangrid Offshore Wind (OSW) team for all training related matters. Liaising with Avangrid’s Learning & Development (L&D) team as well as the Global Offshore Resource Management and external vendors.
Work with Line Managers, OSW employees and the L&D team to prepare training plans
Prepare budget estimates based on known variables from the business including resources forecast, growth and projects.
Socialise & support the approval process for Avangrid OSW training with Global Offshore Resource Management, local & global HR departments
Responsible for external technical training requested by OSW employees
Working with external vendors to develop OSW programs and trainings,
Placing & manging purchase orders while maintaining and updating budget
Ensure OSW internal resources are trained in accordance to the training plan.
Administration, monitoring & maintenance of training records ensuring that the OSW team have the relevant certificates & training and that they are up to date (in conjunction with Health & Safety), arranging re-certification where appropriate.
Work with L&D to develop Offshore specific internally delivered training courses
Work with Global Resources / L&D teams to ensure alignment across the business
Coordinate the scheduling of training courses and training course attendees throughout the OSW business.
Assist with the preparation and forecasting of future training requirements (including ensuring there is appropriate budget available) for internal resources
Work with the L&D team and external vendors on developing and implementing new training course requirements.
Work with global and local HR teams to facilitate training requirements for business globally.
Point of contact for Offshore Business employees for training arrangement
Point of contact for Avangrid Learning & Development team regarding training arrangement
Work with Department Heads / Line Managers on developing training plans for the offshore team
Ad hoc Placement & administration (training requests, receipting invoices, monitoring costs) of Offshore training vendors
Manage spend and allocation of training budget
Develop training reports for the Offshore Leadership team and presenting to various stakeholders
Maintain training record database, keeping accurate and centralized data for training delivered
Coordinate with Quality, Health and Safety department with mandatory trainings for all OSW employees
Skills and Requirements
Experience of sourcing, coordinating and booking training courses (or similar experience).
Experience of budget management.
Experience providing full-scope training materials, from analysing company needs to work with external vendors on lesson planning, development and implementation
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multi-disciplinary teams
Knowledge about traditional and modern training methods and techniques
Excellent organisation skills, leadership and interpersonal skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proven significant experience of IT applications; Microsoft Office in particular Excel and SAP
