The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination of Park City Wind development activities and reporting to the project sponsors. The Senior Project Manager position reports to Avangrid Renewables’ Senior Director of Offshore Business Development and will also have reporting responsibility within Vineyard Wind. This position would be located in eitherBoston, MA or Connecticut.
Delivery of project objectives and milestones including;
ensuring application(s) to agencies and submitted on time and uphold the necessary project standards;
represent the Company's position in hearings and workshops as necessary;
coordinating with Projects team to select and managing consultants;
providing documentation for siting, land use, and associated permits as required; and
manage technical and permitting interface to ensure efficient project review and project flexibility.
Manage effective procurement processes to support subject and technical matter experts
Responsible for the management, monitoring and reporting of progress against defined schedule, budget and regularly milestones.
Promote and document progress on achieving project commitments working closely with relevant business area.
Maintain a schedule of key project milestones, monitor progress and identify where shareholders should become actively involved in terms of input, review and approval.
Create a performance culture via an environment of accountability for performance and results; set expectations, support development and reward contributions.
Liaise with cross function teams to facilitate decisions and resolve escalated portfolio/project risks and issues
Drive project performance to ensure quality targets are being met.
Development and delivery of internal project management reports to project and its partners
Create and manage mechanisms to ensure that knowledge and best practice is captured and shared
Oversee advancement of project bid commitments.
Ensure external consultants and suppliers deliver to agreed specifications, schedule and costs
Meet regularly with Avangrid Renewables’ Sr. Director, Offshore Business Development to provide and discuss project updates and strategy
Day to day execution and management of contractors as necessary
Contribute to program and regional activities and ensure cross-project learning where appropriate.
Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years’ experience in energy marketing or energy project development or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
Proven experience in contract negotiation.
Substantial domestic and periodic overseas travel required.
Working knowledge of Windows based business software applications, including Word and Excel.
MBA or other advanced degree in engineering or related field.
Prior experience in wind power development.
Project Management experience.

Avangrid employees may be assigned a system emergency role and in the event of a system emergency, may be required to work outside of their regular schedule/job duties. This is applicable to employees that will work in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and New York within AVANGRD Network and Corporate functions.
