With legal assistance, insure that the company’s policies and current industry standards are negotiated into physical and financial commodity contracts used in hedging the companies supply requirements. Negotiate and interpret financial assurance documents and transaction confirmations. Maintain Counterparty and Credit Risk Management database.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
Negotiate current industry contracts by establishing, updating and interpreting contract provisions with counterparties. (75%, P)
Review and negotiate confirmations. (10%, P)
Review and negotiate financial documents for credit assurances. (10%, P)
Maintain contract modules in counterparty credit risk management database daily. (5%, S)
Skills and Requirements
Associates Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1 to 4 years contract negotiation experience.
• ISDA/EEI training is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
