Position Specific Description Come join our team! We are seeking an Operations Superintendent who has a passion for Oil & Gas Operations!

This position is part of the Trinity Operating Upstream Operations group of the Gas Infrastructure team. NextEra Energy began investing in oil and gas production in 2008, and today has more than $1 billion deployed in several shales around the country. NextEra Energy is the largest utility consumer in the United States of natural gas to generate electricity; in 2014, we used 736 Bcf of natural gas. The economics of natural gas are critical to nearly every one of the company’s businesses, and we have expanded our ownership and operations to include oil and natural gas liquids rich basins.

In this role we are looking for an individual with experience in South Texas, Workover Supervision, Facilities & Infrastructure, and Previous Lease Operator Supervisory Experience who values a culture of safety and environmental responsibility and thrives in a large company environment.

Job Overview This job is responsible for supervising daily activities for job quality, safety, and cost associated with production and construction activities. Employees in this role maximize production of lease operations and minimize cost for daily production of lease operations expenses.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plans and monitors capital expenditures
  • Prepares development plans and cost estimates for expense and capital projects
  • Contracts negotiation for rental equipment, long term leases, and labor
  • Reviews and approves all invoices in regards to production expenses
  • Provides project management and construction engineering for the design, fabrication and installation of platforms, facilities, and pipeline
  • Mentors and supervises progress of direct reports
  • Maintains up to date knowledge regarding federal and state compliance knowledge
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED

  • Experience: 7+ years
  • Valid Driver’s License (NON CDL) Preferred Qualifications
