Lead and manage the Automation Product Center. Responsible for managing the newly formed Automation Product Center. The Manager will work with business partners and management, user groups, and IT development staff to evaluate, prioritize and facilitate automation of processes that have strong business cases. The Manager will also be responsible for evangelizing the value, strategy and roadmap driving automation adoption and governance at Eversource.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Lead and manage the Automation Product Center. Responsible for managing the newly formed Automation Product Center. The Manager will work with business partners and management, user groups, and IT development staff to evaluate, prioritize and facilitate automation of processes that have strong business cases. The Manager will also be responsible for evangelizing the value, strategy and roadmap driving automation adoption and governance at Eversource.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads the organization and coordination all product center activities and meeting cadences.
  • Leads engagements with business partners.
  • Develops and implements strong governance and well-developed processes.
  • Responsible for value measurement and reporting
  • Identifies and implements automation best practice policy and standards
  • Manages Organizational Change Management
  • Evangelizes the Automation Product Center mission and vision to create an attractive future through automation of the right processes to empower employees, delight stakeholders, and enhance how we work.
  • Aligns program and sets the direction to maximize benefits across the enterprise.
  • Participates and formulates continued strategy and improvements for the automation product center.
  • Identifies roles and effort necessary to execute automation capabilities and identify process candidates by focusing on additional lines of businesses and increasing awareness of automation throughout Eversource.
  • Manages the Automation Product Center Eversource employees and the managed services development teams.
  • Establishes an environment to ensure maintenance and project costs are properly estimated and controlled.
  • Collaborates with business and deployment teams to help ensure a user-experience to meld automation with functional requirements.
  • Supports sprint development and testing by removing roadblocks and escalating to key stakeholders as required.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve current processes within the product center.\

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Mastery level knowledge of automation capabilities, technologies and implementation.
  • Mastery level knowledge of the IT’s organization’s long-range strategies, business practices, as well as working knowledge of the company’s corporate strategies, direction and product services. Must display ability to deliver innovative ideas and suggestions to contribute to the business strategies and directions for automations throughout the enterprise.
  • Ability to foster thought leadership and to think strategically
  • Candidate must be customer-focused and demonstrate knowledge of automation program capabilities and structure, Agile methodology, and all aspects of running an Enterprise Automation, Product Center.
  • The position requires a high degree of customer service orientation, solid persuasiveness / sales ability and excellent presentation, leadership, and communication skills required to manage numerous stakeholders.
  • Candidate must show strong innovation mindset and understand the software development lifecycle experience as it relates to leading a team of business and IT members collaborating and working together to deliver business value through automation.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or Business or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • Ten to twelve years of related experience (1+ year of experience with automaton technology)
  • Experience in stakeholder negotiation and conflict management.
  • History of successful delivery of business transformation or IT Programs
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Mastery level human resource management skills including; the ability to lead through subordinate team leads, supervisors, or managed services tower leads to achieve committed project schedules, costs and goals, manage the personal career of team members, conduct ongoing coaching, and lead employee performance management process.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE:

Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment. This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.
