About the Job

Underground Construction Co. seeks an energetic, motivated, full time, Parts Counter Associate to enhance our service team!

Job Responsibilities

  • Look up, order, Issue parts and accessories to mechanics from the parts counter.

  • Order and issue personal protective equipment, consumables and small job supplies to job field personnel.

  • Utilize reference manuals, parts illustrations and computer programs to select the specific part needed to complete a vehicle repair.

  • Provide delivery service of orders to field mechanics using company parts runner.

  • Acquire parts not currently in stock through other parts providers locally via phone or internet.

  • Negotiate pricing through local venders.

  • Check parts into inventory, verify proper part numbers shipped and stock or distribute accordingly.

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent – required

  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to move heavy objects (60 pounds or more) short distances (20 feet or less)

  • Willing and able to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions

  • Willing and able to travel to other Underground Construction offices and job sites

  • Ability to maintain: valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The requirements listed below are representative of the physical ability required.

  • Lift 50 pounds 2 to 4 times per shift

  • Carry 50 pounds 2 to 4 times per shift

  • Bending from waist up to 10 times per shift

  • Sit for 6 hours per shift

  • Stand for 2 hour per shift
