Operate and maintain Heavy Equipment Front End Loader to feed conveyors, hoppers, or load trucks with rock and sand in our Beaumont Aggregate Yards, as well as other yards around Southeast Texas. The position will also require simple data entry on scale house computers to create material sale tickets and track inventory for Knife River Southeast Texas.
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid and current Driver's License
Willing to work late evenings, weekends and overtime as needed
Experience operating front end loaders and heavy equipment
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
Good attendance is essential
Duties and/or Responsibilities:
Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
Safely and properly operate and perform maintenance on loader, and other equipment.
Load trucks with road materials up to legal hauling weight limit.
Maintain smooth, level haul roads.
Maintain contaminate free aggregate piles.
Inspect material; check gradation quality, oversize rocks, contaminants.
Check for spillage on plant floor and clean up daily (assist with shoveling spillage).
Always work safely, following all safety protocol, and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
Data entry to create material sales tickets.
Complete daily cash and credit card reports.
Timely and regular attendance is essential.
Perform other duties, including labor intensive tasks, as assigned.
Extensive walking on uneven surfaces
Lift and carry up to 100 pounds
Exposure to dust, fumes, odors
Hand eye coordination
Exposure to mists, adhesives, acids
Frequent and/or extended periods requiring kneeling, bending, and/or twisting
Operating equipment at night under artificial lighting
Working in all weather conditions for extended period of time
Position will remain open until 9/30/2021 or until it is filled.
