Equitrans Midstream Instrumentation Technician/Sr Instrumentation Technician in Beallsville, Ohio

We have an exciting opportunity for two Instrumentation Technicians/Sr Instrumentation Technicians in our Beallsville, OH location. This role routinely installs and maintains communication equipment, as well as electronic measurement devices.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a safe operating environment

  • Calibrate RTU’s

  • Maintain calibration schedules

  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic and SCADA equipment

  • Adjust and repair pressure regulation systems and pneumatic systems

  • Provide technical and operational direction to lower-level Instrumentation Technicians

  • Troubleshoot and correct radio system problems

  • Navigate and has some set-up capability for in-house SCADA systems including Oasys & Cygnet.

  • Install and set up RTU's for new wells

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs of pipelines and appurtenances, natural gas engines, electric motors, dehydration equipment, auxiliary equipment and gas compressors as required

  • May perform other duties in another classification, as directed

  • Associates degree in electronics, or vocational certification in Electrical/Electron (an equivalent of education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree)

  • Three years of electrical/instrumentation experience is needed for the Instrumentation Tech position. Our senior techs have at least five years of electrical/instrumentation experience

  • Computer skills, including MS Word and Excel

  • Mechanical/electrical skills

  • Troubleshooting skills

  • Valid driver's license

  • Must be available for call outs 24/7

  • Working knowledge of National Electric Code, Ethernet networks and associated equipment, Physical properties of gases and basic gas law, Routers and communication devices, Communication protocols such as Modbus, TCP, Modbus RTU, and Hart, Telephone and digital radio communications, and electronic theory and circuitry is preferred.

  • Ability to pass a physical capabilities test (which includes, but is not limited to, lifting and carrying 70 lbs., walking 1/2 mile at various inclines, etc.) necessary to demonstrate the physical ability to perform the essential functions of this job
