Tooling Application Technical Specialist - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, Ohio
Pipeline Requisition: A "pipeline" requisition is used to source candidates for ongoing or multiple needs for these position requirements. By applying for this position, the applicant agrees to be considered for similar roles in the future.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Develop machine tooling proposals for market basket request for quotes and monitor pricing.
Establish tooling scope-of-work splits with our other plants in order to accurately bid each proposal.
Mine historical data to determine the tooling required for each production operation.
Obtain new tool quotes or utilize historical tool costs with escalation to support proposals.
Assemble and write contract tool request upon contract award.
Break down prior contracts in spent vs. unspent dollars.
Track the historical cost of each tool for future estimating.
Establish tooling spent forecasts and provide quarterly to Accounting.
Provide quarterly tooling contract cost to Accounting with recommendations for contract close outs.
Monitor the plant tooling need sschedule aligining a priority for schedule.
Over check tool kits and assemblies to assure information is correct for the shop floor.
Provide shop operations technical support for problem that occur.
Job Qualifications / Requirements:
Ideal candidate has an Associates degree in Mechanical Technology or 4 years relevant work experience.
Prior experience in manufacturing, business adminstration and/or contracts is a plus.
Must be able to obtain a nd maintain a DOE security clearance.
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.
