Quality Technical Specialist - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, OH
Quality Assurance Technical Specialist will be responsible for support of quality documentation initiatives and the quality management department at NOG-Barberton as directed the supervisor of quality engineering. Responsibilities Include:
Surveillance of manufacturing operations for compliance to procedures and work instructions
In charge of Clean Functions for the QA group
Technical support of quality inspection, NDE and test operations
Review of manufacturing documentation and procedures proper documentation requirements
Special projects for quality engineering within the following areas:
Defenses in Depth reviews
Corrective Action follow up and reporting
Record Retention & Contract Closeout
Quality improvement projects for operations
Quality metrics development & reporting
Auditing to ISO-9001 quality procedures and instructions
Performs various special projects and assignments as required
Additional responsibilities may include but not limited to supporting mail and reproduction service
Qualifications / Requirements:
Minimum Associate degree in engineering or technical field is required or 4 years of relevant experience.
Capable of obtaining and maintaining a DOE clearance
Ability to work safely in warehouse and manufacturing environments
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Ability to work overtime hours as requested by supervisor
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Self-starter who can work with minimal direction
Demonstrates excellent organizational and research skills
Inquisitive and a quick learner, can get answers tactfully
Monitors own work, checks for errors
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.
