JOB SUMMARY:

Scope of Work – Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, and other relationships:

The Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing multiple customer funded projects, located in Maine,New York and Connecticut, by managing internal and external teams of engineers, construction managers anddesigners and external teams of construction contractors from customer agreements through commissioning andhandoff to operations .The projects may originate from generator interconnections, customer load requirements andNon-Wires Alternative identified projects. The majority are new or expansions of substations.

Responsibility includes meeting corporate goals for delivery of customer funded projects meeting the schedule andcost targets stated in customer agreements.Represents the company in relationships with the customer during the engineering and construction phases.Supporting the Regulatory teams in discussions with NYISO and NEISO regarding project interconnections.Supporting customer account representatives in pre-project planning and analysis

Coordinate activities of project team members including engineers, construction managers, schedulers, costcontrollers, permitting and environmental compliance staff and externalcontractors. Facilitates the work of external contractors and other internal business areas. Holds contractors

accountable for performance. Holds project team members accountable for results. Provides technical advice tosenior management when required. Responsible for the overall project control and reporting, providing leadershipand coordination of the scheduling, cost controlling and reporting processes and functions. Ensure projects aredelivered on schedule, within budget and in conformance to quality and engineering standards.

Major Roles and Responsibilities (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

•Interfacing with customers, and customer engineering and contracting teams

•Program and project management skills

•Leadership skills

•Document control

•Participates in project team scheduling and budgetary planning processes

•Works within the project unit, managing internal and external project resources.

•Oversees project budgets. Analyzes project unit performance and initiates actions to control scope, schedule andcost performance. Proactive approach to overseeing work measures progress and takes actions to ensure budgetsand deadlines are achieved. Approves project plans, executes contract strategies to undertake work and controlsand authorizes expenditures. Initiates actions to ensure compliance with a project management and qualitymanagement processes and procedures. Assures that projects are completed within the approved scope, scheduleand budget

•Coordinates with other departments, consultants, attorneys, utilities, regulatory agencies, government agencies,and major customers.

•Considers innovative ways to undertake work, promoting automation and efficiencies in day to day work streams

•Informs management and project teams regarding cost and schedule performance variances and corrective actionrequired.

•Responsible for ensuring the risk control system is utilized.

•Continually monitors individual progress to insure meeting of specific deadlines.

•Responsible for Project accountability overview, making sure that it complies with FERC, NERC and any otherapplicable regulation.

•Attendance to Cost & Schedule Meetings

•Works with Coordinator on the Risk definition, cost, and the Mitigation Action analysis.

•Attendance to Executive management meetings, providing and presenting reports and cost-schedule-risk views asrequired.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience Required:

•Bachelors’ degree with 5 years relevant experience required. Degree in Engineering or experience in energyindustry preferred.

•Project Management Certification is an asset, but not required,

Skills/Abilities:

•Ability to mobilize team members to deliver projects on time and under budget

•Ability to manage staff using Scheduling IT tools and software to generate appropriate schedules and cost reports

•Experience in developing and implementing risk management and mitigation plans

•Expert in utilizing MS Excel for data analysis, budgeting and planning and optimizing schedules.

•Ability to use and query SAP

•Excellent oral and written communication skills

•Ability to summarize and present cost, schedule and risk elements to managers, regulators, customers and otherstakeholders.

•Results oriented

•Understanding of quality assurance processes and implement throughout all phases of the projects.

•Knowledge of main configuration and general arrangements of networks (substations, overhead lines and cable)infrastructures

•Supervision of field personnel and construction contractors

•Proven ability to lead teams and work in a team environment

•Team oriented

Experience/Training:

•Experienced in contract negotiations and supplier management

•Proven experience in taking ownership of projects and working independently leading a team.

•Project Management Professional Certification
