Oversees, provide guidance and directions to the assigned group of Real Estate employees on their daily activity referred to programs and/or projects. Manage team workload and makes decisions on daily activities and financial aspects of land management projects.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work and range of responsibilities):

  • Organize and distribute workload among direct reports or contractors of his/her group on a cost efficient way.

  • Following AVANGRID and its subsidiaries travel and HR policies, authorize, review and approve working times and travel expenses, ensuring they are in compliance.

  • Lead the employees under his/her responsibility providing guidance on various programs and projects assigned to the Department including, organization’s Capital Investment Program.

  • Advice on plans and budgets for programs and projects. Oversee progress against plans and reports to Director.

  • Coordinates efforts, if applicable, to cross-functional projects. Holds regular program/project status meetings with Director

  • Lead in accomplishing day-to-day goals and provides expertise and decision making to internal and external project resources

  • Sets goals and direction for project with project timeline

  • Proactive approach to overseeing work accomplishments and takes action to ensure budgets and deadlines are achieved.

  • Provides recommendations on policies, procedures and goals; implements approved new/revised processes and procedures as needed

Skills and Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Land Management, Engineer, Financial or similar with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in managing Land Management or Right of Way projects or 7 years demonstrated experience as a leader of those projects, including but not limited to overseeing external and internal resources, identifying and managing project scope, budget control, creating and implementing local and global process standards and tools, training and reporting.

  • PMP or equivalent Project Management certification desirable.

    Avangrid employees may be assigned a system emergency role and in the event of a system emergency, may be required to work outside of their regular schedule/job duties.
