Directs, supervises and provides leadership for a team that executes the systems development life cycle tasks associated with development andmaintenance of the association’s enterprise-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform. Provides creative solutions and executes projects that will facilitate efficiencies in business processes. Provides leadership and management in accordance with NRECA’s pillars of Service Excellence and in alignment with strategic priorities.

•Directs, manages and provides leadership for the ERP (Oracle e-Business Suite) Application Team. Monitors departmental work requests, allocates staff resources, sets direction, inspires innovation, fosters competency development, cross-training and ensures that staff skills keep pace with NRECA needs and related legislative updates.
•Draws on deep subject matter and functional system expertise, influence and process skills to help internal customer stakeholders identify and meet their high priority needs. Ensures team members develop and maintain technical knowledge in specialized areas, remaining up to date on current trends and best practices.
•Plans and executes long-term software implementation and development strategy and develops key client/customer relationships to ensure business/organizational objectives are met through the solutions provided. Applies extensive knowledge of department business and member requirements to the direction of software development solutions. Ensures function successfully integrates work output or services with other internal departments.
•Leads stakeholders including SLT members, directors and product owners from the various NRECA departments (Finance, Human Resources and Strategic Sourcing & Procurement) on a monthly – quarterly basis (minimum) to prioritize project and maintenance work efforts related to the ERP; manages new requests and changes; evaluates the impacts and proposes alternatives.
•During the budget season, works directly with the Director Applications Development & Support – ERP Data Management and the various Department Heads to evaluate resource needs and prepare overall budget recommendations.
•Steers association line of business departments and I&FS as appropriate to improve ERP usability and troubleshoot individual member concerns.
•Ensures 24x7 operation and maintenance for all production, development, and test environments for the ERP applications.
•Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for securing and protecting data (i.e. HIPPA, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.). Supports Business Continuity and IT disaster plans and testing.
•Responds to reported problems/emergencies from the local users by assigning application personnel to perform problem investigation and resolution. Performs root cause analysis on problems, implementing corrective actions that achieve operational effectiveness.
•Responsible for the proper security and disposal of any confidential information that he or she may possess in the course of performing this position's job duties, as well as ensuring staff compliance with security protocols in accordance with NRECA’s Personnel and Administrative Policy and HIPAA Privacy and Security Policies and Procedures Manuals.
