Natural Rural Electric Cooperative Sr. Human Resources Assistant in Arlington, Virginia
Provides general operational support for the HR Department including, coordinating the weekly department meeting agenda, overseeing the appropriate retention, storage and destruction of HR and employee records (mostly electronic), ordering office supplies as needed, sorting department mail, scheduling interviews as needed and providing support to learning and development activities.
Coordinates new hire orientation and onboarding activities and presents portions of orientation content. Conducts new hire Workday HCM and NRECA systems training as part of onboarding.
Coordinates HR Budget activities, including annual HR budget request, invoice processing and review of monthly financial reports.
Provides Workday HCM system support to end users, recommends updates to Workday HCM system help text and end user communications to improve overall user adoption. Performs Workday HCM system testing, assists with the creation and maintenance of documentation of system procedures, and recommends process improvement opportunities and assists with system enhancement deployments including system testing.
Helps on recruitment related issues in the Workday HCM system, ensures new hire and termination information successfully processes in Workday HCM, supports the employee separation process.
Ensures the delivery of standard reports and develops ad hoc reports and dashboards upon requests. Supports the completion of annual compliance reports for government compliance reports and runs weekly reports in the Workday HCM system.
Monitors Workday HCM system integrations for accuracy. Collaborates with benefits and payroll team members to reconcile information to ensure accurate payroll processing within the payroll schedule deadlines.
Provides back-up support to the Leave Administrator and assists the Leave Administrator with monitoring the use of paid leave and FMLA, and coordinates paperwork and communications with employees and their managers.
