InfraSource Project Manager in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Role Summary:

This is an intermediate project manager position. Typical tasks include gathering weekly payroll, providing upper management with daily status reports, forecasting monthly cost and revenue, maintaining a project specific Microsoft Projects schedule and analyzing project budgets and earned value. Travel is required.

Essential Functions:

Project Administration – as required

  • Assist Operations with on-boarding new employees (when required).

  • Assist in project office set-up.

  • Create and communicate the project plan: safety orientations, training, etc.

Project Management

  • Assist with MS Project schedule.

  • Weekly accrual cost tracking and reporting.

  • Monthly forecasting.

  • Close communication with internal support groups (Finance & Accounting, Billing, etc).

  • Develop and maintain project files.

  • Interact with customer for projects.

  • Ensure Change Orders are documented and tracked.

  • Complete project close-out.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Extensive travel is required - 75%

  • Basic understanding of the project life cycle as defined by

  • Ability to apply basic project management concepts, and methodologies.

  • Proficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS

  • Proficient in financial practices and principles.

  • Proficient in organizational

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum

Education:

AA degree and 2 years’ experience desired. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.

Certificates:

Desired: Project Management Certificate from an accredited school or Project Management Institute.
