Accounts Payable Clerk
This position is responsible for completion of the accounts payable function in a timely and accurate manner. The person in this position will report to the A/P Supervisor.
What Do You Offer Us?
Perform the necessary tasks to maintain the accounts payable records
Code invoices with detailed GL account numbers, job numbers, cost types and tax fields electronically
Able to handle complex coding
Enter invoices in the fast paced & high-volume environment
Maintain & create spreadsheets for various tracking initiatives and mass imports
Verify and investigate open invoices prior to weekly payments
Compile and sort documents such as invoices and checks
Prepare monthly payable reports
Experience with internal and external customer service
Takes responsibility and resolves problems
Strong organizational skills – able to prioritize and meet deadlines
Detail oriented and quick learner
Respond to internal and external A/P related e-mails and voicemails within 24 hours
Reconcile all incoming vendor statements with what is in our ERP software; contact the vendor regarding any discrepancies / missing invoices
Other duties as assigned.

What is Required?
Associate’s Degree or higher required
1-2+ years A/P experience preferred
Experience in a busy, service-oriented office atmosphere with frequent interruptions, varied work assignments, and fluctuating priorities while meeting deadlines preferred
Strong data entry experience a plus
Analytical and research skills with the ability to learn quickly and retain the knowledge for future applications.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, organized and detail oriented
Must have the ability to work independently and prioritize duties
This position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
