Staff Auditor / Senior Auditor

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Assists (performs) audit assignments in various areas, including financial, operations and technology.

  2. Assists in performing (performs) critical business analysis of issues,

including identifying root cause(s) and identifying value-added opportunities

for improvement to Company Management in a timely manner.

  1. Reports and communicates, verbally and in writing, the results of

audit assignments to Company management.

  1. Works collaboratively with Company Management to help ensure action

plans are implemented timely and appropriately to address areas identified as

needing improvement.

  1. Prepares quality and timely workpapers supporting the results of

audit-related testing and analysis.

  1. Keeps current on business-related issues and developments to identify

key areas of risk.

  1. (Provides functional advice or training to less-experienced audit

positions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

May direct the work of other staff members.)

Position Summary:

Senior Auditor level position details in parentheses

Under direct supervision (general direction), responsible for assisting with the performance (leading) of audit and consulting services

for PPL Corporation and its subsidiaries with a focus on risk management, governance and control. May perform audits related to technology, operations, finance or controls. (Works independently with minimal guidance using knowledge of internal controls and in specific areas required to effectively perform job duties. This job is a senior-skill level without formal supervisory responsibility. May provide guidance and direction to other PPL employees to support production of high quality, timely and cost-effective audit results.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Staff Auditor requires Bachelor's Degree with more than 2 years of audit orbusiness operations experience. Senior Auditor requires Bachelor's Degreewith 5 years of audit or business operations experience.

  2. Requires effective, written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.

  3. (Critical business analysis skills required.)

  4. (Knowledge of business operations and a working knowledge of risk identification,assessment, and management to improve Company operations.)

  5. (Professional certification (e.g. CIA, CPA, CISA). Required to actively pursuecertification within 2 years of the job effective date.)

  6. Highly motivated self-starter with excellent project management skills.

  2. MBA or other advanced degree

  3. Agile auditing experience is preferred.
