PPL Corporation Apprentice Operator-Cash Receipts in Allentown, Pennsylvania
Apprentice Operator-Cash Receipts
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Process customer payments using automated cash processing equipment:
a. Presorting of Bill Payment Center remittances and development of transfer checks.
b. Knowledge of all procedures relating to the processing of direct customer mail.
c. Operating the automated processing equipment, and a thorough knowledge of all procedures related thereto, for utilization in resolving equipment failures, document jams, transmission problems to the mini-computer, and replacing equipment supplies.
- Assist the Cash Receipts Leader and Technical Assistant in the investigation and resolution of all problems related to the processing of “exception” payments:
a. Preparation of scannable bill stubs.
b. Investigation of unidentified remittances.
c. Processing of “pay-by-phone” remittances; handling of customer correspondence, correction of cash processing imbalances, etc.
Develop daily deposit totals and related accounting data as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary.
Performs duties required to process customer payments on automated cash processing equipment.
Candidates must meet the basic qualifications and pass all required tests or assessments to receive consideration.In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.
Business Line Specific Qualifications Summary Required
High school education or equivalent – banking experience desirable.
Successful completion of the Clerical Job Family 3 Test.
Successfully pass 10-key adding machine performance test.
Ability to follow instructions and learn work methods.
Neatness in appearance.
Operator Cash Receipts:
- Promotion to Operator Cash Receipts shall be based on one-year satisfactory performance in the position of Assistant Operator Cash Receipts.
