External Job DutiesUnder general supervision, in company garage or in the field, this position performs minor preventive maintenance services on vehicles and equipment. Additionally, this role is responsible for the completion of work order documentation in fleet database, and ordering tools, and supplies from storerooms, parts rooms or vendors. Fleet Laborers also pick up, jump start, deliver, obtain emission tests and tow vehicles, as needed. In addition to performing in-service for new vehicles, the role is also responsible for performing out-of-service on vehicles being retired. Other duties include performing all needed housekeeping for shop area, equipment and tools, to maintain a safe working environment.
Education/Experience RequirementsApplicant must have one year of vehicle mechanic maintenance experience.This position is 1st Shift (6:30 am - 3:30 pm).
Requirement NotesLicenses and Certifications: Applicant must have a valid driver's license and meet the company's requirements for driving. Selected applicant must obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) within 90 days of entry into the job. Statutory Requirements: The applicant must comply with D.O.T. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) drug and alcohol test requirements.
