This position is responsible for maintaining service operations by repairing and preserving vehicles and construction equipment.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to:
Keeps equipment available for use by testing vehicles and completing preventive maintenance such as: engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
Maintains vehicle/equipment functional condition by repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, replacing parts and components, and repairing body damage.
Maintains records by recording service and repairs.
Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates must have two or more years of work related experience with construction or utility related equipment and trailers, as well as heavy truck repair, specifically Ford pickup trucks. Also experience with DOT inspections, hydraulics, drive train, controls and electrical diagnostics is beneficial. Basic computer proficiency is needed for this position. Candidates must also possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License. Applicants must be able to work independently as well as work in a team setting.
