The Manager- Solar Operations II will function as the manager of personnel working in the field as Lead PV Technicians, PV Technicians and/or Supervisors- Solar Operations. He/she will initiate and administer the hiring process for Contingent Workers as well as permanent Duke Energy positions as approved by management. He/she will manage both the workforce in the field as well as the work flow process. Responsibilities will also include administration of AP processes, labor management and parts/services procurement, all in accordance with site budgets. This position will also assume responsibilities in regards to preparation, assembly, completion of staffing/resource plans, budgets, etc.

Maintenance & upkeep of the CMMS (Maximo) as it is utilized for management of work at all of our solar facilities. Scheduling of work as necessary at our solar facilities including PM’s, repairs, outages, etc. Coordination of vendors, contractors & suppliers Management of Lead PV Technicians (Sr. Solar Technician), PV Technicians and/or Field Supervisor (Supervisor- Solar Operations) including hiring, performance management, payroll approval. Coordination of AP processes including CAPS, Maximo and PeopleSoft Applications in support of Duke Owned solar facilities. Responsible for interfacing with power off-takers / customers Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Associates Degree or 5 years related work experience in lieu of a degree. 3 years related work experience 3 years supervisory / contractor oversight experience 5 years of experience with a work management system 5 years of plant maintenance experience Demonstrated effective leadership skills Desired Qualifications: 7 years related work experience Previous knowledge or experience working on a solar generating facility owned/operated by Duke Energy Renewables. General familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to the position (e.g. NERC, CIP, EPA, state utility regulators, etc.) Knowledge and understanding of CAISO requirements for grid-tied generators Maximo Planning / Scheduling, CAPS payment processing Formal electrical training NFPA 70E training PV industry specific training OEM specific training 5 years of experience as a customer representative / contract manager Job: Generation
