PSEG is seeking experienced HR Generalist/HR Senior Generalists to support various Human Resources centers of excellence. Successful candidate will be assigned to a specific practice area but may also support multiple areas. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Assist in the recruitment of exempt and non-exempt positions
Identify and develop sourcing strategies that ensure high quality and diverse candidate pools
Coordinate the selection process for various professional and technical positions to include posting, applicant administration, candidate screening, notification and testing
Extend job offers and process reference and background checks.
Client Relations – HR Business Partners
Handle routine and complex day to day HR activities in support of the business, including (but not limited to) conducting exit interviews, creating staffing requisitions, SAP master data maintenance, facilitating data integration sessions for staffing selections, determining appropriate offers of employment, assisting with writing job descriptions, assisting with talent management/talent development activities and workforce analytics reporting.
Maintain the integrity of PSEG employment policies by providing managers and supervisors with guidance and interpretation of corporate policies, practices, and procedures
Provide advice and expertise to resolve HR issues and/or complex business related issues that arise
Make recommendations to drive continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
For the Generalist Level - Bachelor’s degree or 5 years experience in an HR function.
For the Senior Generalist Level – Bachelor’s degree in related field and 3-5 years experience in an HR function
1-3 years experience with various HR systems such as SAP, Successfactors
Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws/regulations.
Strong interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills
Computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong sense of urgency; ability to execute quickly and efficiently.
Team oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.
2 - 3 years of experience working in a Compensation, HRIS or HRBP function
SHRM-CP or PHR certification
HR analysis – experience compiling and analyzing HR Metrics
Ability to analyze existing processes and make recommendations for improvement
