What you will do:

  • Providing technical expertise to support to Area and Facility operations.

  • Identification, scoping, and execution of projects for Capital Expansion, Maintenance Capital, and Operations and Maintenance budgets in support of Area and Facility Operations.

  • Filling the Project Manager and/or Project Engineer role on Region Storage projects, when required.

  • Capability of making sound judgments, which are reviewed, but which are usually accepted as technically accurate and feasible.

  • Identify project risks, exposures and opportunities that may impact the success of the subject projects.

  • Facilitates communication channels and issues reports that reflect the status and health of the assigned projects to the appropriate Management groups.

  • Interacts directly with outside groups to coordinate the development, implementation, and completion of capital projects (includes Projects, Operations, Right-of-Way, Environmental, and Commercial).

  • Formulates strategies and makes decisions regarding project execution, vendor and contractor selection.

  • Organize and balance workload to manage the oversight of multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Frequent Communication and coordination with field personnel and management to identify and resolve equipment performance, reliability, or operational issues.

  • Make recommendations to Region Management and Operations for maintenance, replacement, and re-design of existing facilities when required.

  • Taking a lead role in coordinating operation and maintenance program for storage assets.

  • Assisting in the design review and supporting O&M and Maintenance Capital projects.

  • Performing investigations and root cause evaluations and risk assessments for existing assets

Who you are:

You have the following education and/or experience:

  • Bachelors degree in a related engineering discipline AND four (4) years experience in a related field. Ie. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Self-starter with demonstrated Project Management Skillset in a previous Project Management, Project Engineer, or Operations Engineering Role.

  • Possess a desire to learn and advance.

  • Organized, efficient, and dependable individual that strives to meet team goals and deadlines.

  • Strong technical skills with ability to understand and troubleshoot complex systems when required.

  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook software.

  • Proven ability to drive and perform job duties safely.

  • Willing to assume responsibility and take initiative to resolve issues.

  • A valid driver’s license.

  • Able to work and contribute to a positive team environment where inclusiveness, integrity, honesty, and openness are valued.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.

Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 25 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement, grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
