Le groupe des Finances de Gazifère cherche à pourvoir un poste destiné à assurer la relève. En tant que membre de l’équipe, le titulaire du poste devra soutenir tous les aspects du cycle comptable, budgétaire et réglementaire de l’entreprise. Vos principales responsabilités consistent à:

Responsabilités :

• Participer aux activités de fins de mois, préparer des écritures de journaux, concilier, analyser, expliquer des écarts et produire des rapports financiers principalement pour les activités reliées aux comptes différés et à la conciliation bancaire ;

• Générer des rapports de fin de mois et de fin d'année ainsi qu'analyser des comptes nécessaires à la préparation et à l’analyse des états financiers ;

• Préparer diverses conciliations de comptes ;

• Fournir des données, des rapports et des analyses ad hoc afin d'assurer l'exactitude et le caractère raisonnable des informations fournies, et dans le but de les présenter pour prises de décision ;

• Collaborer à la préparation de dossiers réglementaires ;

• Rédiger des décisions relatives aux méthodes comptables, fondé sur les USGAAP ;

• Collaborer à l’audit intérimaire et à l’audit de fin d’année ;

• Examiner les processus financiers et les rapports pour mettre en œuvre des gains d'efficience ;

• Poursuivre la mise à jour et le développement d’outils de modélisation pour répondre aux besoins de l’entreprise ;

• Devenir polyvalent dans l’exécution des tâches de l’équipe Finances.

Exigences et qualifications :

• Baccalauréat en finances, ou en administration des affaires et expérience limitée, ou toute autre combinaison d’éducation et d’expérience jugée équivalente.

• Titre comptable professionnel ou en voie d’obtention serait considéré un atout;

• La personne dans ce poste doit maîtriser le français. Comme cette personne devra interagir fréquemment avec des collègues, intervenants et clients qui ne parlent pas le français, il est exigé que cette personne possède une bonne connaissance de la langue anglaise, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit;

• Excellentes capacités d’analyse et de synthèse;

• Fortes habiletés en communication (orale et écrite) ;

• Esprit d’équipe et de leadership ;

• Capacité de travailler de façon autonome à l’intérieur de délais serrés ;

• Rigoureux et ayant le souci du détail ;

• Capacité d’assimiler et d’appliquer des concepts théoriques complexes ;

• Excellente maîtrise de la Suite Microsoft Office et très fortes compétences démontrées avec Excel;

• Connaissances d’Oracle et Hyperion sont considérées comme un atout.

Gazifère, the exclusive distributor of natural gas in the Outaouais, and a dynamic and rapidly growing business, is looking for a Financial Analyst I.

Gazifère’s Financial Team seeks to fill a succession position and as part of the Financial Team, this position is responsible for the execution of the company’s accounting, budgetary and regulatory cycle. Your main responsibilities are to:

Responsibilites:

Collaborate in month-end activities, prepare journal entries, reconcile, analyze, explain variances and create financial reports primarily for activities related to deferred accounts and bank reconciliation;

Generate month-end and year-end reports as well as analyze accounts needed for the preparation and analysis of financial statements;

Prepare various reconciliations of accounts, more particularly bank reconciliation;

Provide data, reports, and ad hoc analysis to ensure the accuracy and reasonableness of the information provided, and as to present it for decision making;

Collaborate in the preparation of regulatory files;

Write accounting policy decisions, based on USGAAP;

Collaborate on interim and year-end audits;

Review financial processes and reporting as to always seek to improve efficiency;

Continue to update and develop modeling tools to meet business needs;

Seek to become versatile in all Finance Team tasks.

Requirements and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, or business administration and limited experience, or any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent;

Professional accounting designation or in the process of obtaining would be considered an asset;

The person in this role must be fluent in French (speaking, reading, writing). As the person in this role is required to frequently interact with colleagues, stakeholders and clients that do not speak French, a proficient knowledge of English(speaking, reading, writing) is also required

Excellent analytical and synthesis skills

Strong communication skills (oral and written)

Capability to work in a Team environment, and to work independently within tight deadlines

Leadership and Team Spirit skills

Thorough and demonstrated attention to detail

Ability to assimilate and apply complex theoretical concepts

Excellent understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite and very strong demonstrated Excel skills

Knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion will be considered as an asset
