American Transmission Company System Protection Engineer in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin

Summary of Responsibilities:

We are looking for a System Protection Engineer to develop and implement our system protection and control schemes and analyze their performance to ensure reliable and secure operation of our ATC electric transmission system.

Essential Responsibilities:

You’ll use your electrical engineering degree to design protective relaying schemes that detect and isolate failures and minimize damage to our electric transmission system. In addition, you’ll perform protection engineering tasks such as developing and maintaining system models, calculating available fault current and circuit breaker interrupting duty and determine and issue relay settings. We have a culture of continuous improvement, so you’ll analyze disturbances on our transmission system to determine root causes and recommend system improvements.

ATC embraces flexibility in our work and our workplace. You are able to choose to work at home, or our offices in Cottage Grove, De Pere or Pewaukee, Wis., or Kingsford, Mich. depending on your schedule for the day and the needs of the business.
