Core Responsibilities
The selected candidate should have strong clerical and organizational abilities, along with proficient computer keyboarding skills.
Excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills are necessary due to regular interaction with both internal and external customers.
The candidate must demonstrate excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook).
In addition, working knowledge of other internal/external computer applications including Construction Layout Tracking (LOT), Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Adept, Summons Workspace, Electronic Packaging System (EPS), NYC Streets, Tableau, and Smart App is preferred.
The individual will also be required to decipher basic information provided on construction drawings issued from various engineering organizations.
Duties include but are not limited to, logging and tracking information on various computer applications, preparing work packages, assisting with NYC Department of Transportation issued Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and Notice of Violations (NOV), ordering street opening permits, preparing various status reports, material procurement and basic filing.
The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, tidy and adept at meeting deadlines efficienty.
Must be able to sit/stand at a stationary post for long periods of time.
The candidate must be willing to travel to various work locations as required.
Required Education/Experience
- High School Diploma/GED and One year of work experience
