Position location is the Hines Energy Complex in Bartow, Florida. The Engineering Supervisor position is responsible for station reliability, asset planning, and ensuring the highest value technical projects are defined and evaluated. Plant System Owners (e.g., chemistry, electrical, I&C and mechanical), CBM Specialist, and NERC Compliance Analyst report to this position. The Technical Superintendent ensures adequate engineering and technical support of the Station, including ensuring that all technical and engineering processes and procedures in which the Technical Team interfaces are implemented and adhered to. Examples include: Major Equipment Reliability Meetings, Risk Grids, Station Configuration Management and Control, Optimization of Reliability Plans, and O&M and Capital budgeting planning and input. The incumbent has responsibility for system ownership, unit and equipment condition and risk assessment, as well as the condition and performance-monitoring programs at the station. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Communicate and lead the commitment to the FHO Operating Model within the Technical Team • Provide guidance in the identification and resolution of complex engineering and technical problems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the station • Conducts and/or oversees the preparation of engineering and technical studies, analyses and reports as needed • Counsels, trains, evaluates, develops, guides and assists assigned personnel relative to job performance and duties • Develop and/or maintain required equipment documentation and databases • Provide leadership and direction in the development and implementation of best practice routines, work process improvement, maintenance and operation procedures. • Meet station environmental, health and safety objectives • Conduct and oversee the development of technical projects and long-range O&M/Capital plans • Act as a liaison with business, charitable and political leaders, foundations, organizations and other external stakeholders of the station and corporation • Develop and maintain positive working relationships between departments and internal customers It is recommended that an up-to-date resume reflecting work experience and job skills applicable to the position be attached when applying. Qualifications: Basic/Required Qualifications: B.S. degree in engineering, plus 8 or more years of directly related work experience, and requires a broad knowledge of related engineering practices, procedures, theories and principles Desired Qualifications: • Registered Professional Engineer • Experience with Combined Cycle Operations and Equipment • Expert technical presentation skills; able to break down complex systems into everyday language • Demonstrated ability and experience in coordinating and integrating of major project activities Specific Requirements: Must be able to form strong working relationships with craft, first-line supervision, planning and scheduling, financial analysts, and peer unit heads.
